Making My Life Count for Christ!
Questions Only I can Answer!
7/25/10 Moses Heb 11:24-28

Today: Moses - Ques: Why was God able to use Moses so effectively?
Ans: Moses settled some basic questions in his life.
1. Who am I?
2. What are my choices?
3. What is really important?
4. What are my goals?

1. BE Yourself!
V24 "By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh's daughter."
"Refused" = ¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬“Reject”

V25 "Moses chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a short time."
"Chose" = "decide".

2nd principle of an effective life is…
2. ACCEPT Responsibility FOR MY OWN LIFE!
Don't blame somebody else for your life.
v24 we see Moses refusing & in v25 we see Moses choosing.

v23 as a baby, God chose Moses. "By faith, Moses' parents hid him for three months after he was born because they saw that he was no ordinary child and they weren't afraid of the king's edict."
God chose Moses as a baby. But when Moses grew up, v25, he had to choose God.
God has chosen you. Have you chosen Him?

v24 When did he make his choice? "When he had grown up."

A Biblically mature man is one who…
A man: 1. Rejects passivity!
2. Accepts responsibility!
3. Leads courageously!
4. Expects the greater reward, God’s reward!

A Biblically mature woman is one who…
1. Rejects the lure or temptation for worldly success!
2. She believes in God’s priorities!
Titus 2:3 Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the
way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to
teach what is good. V4 Then they can train the younger women to love their husbands and children, v5 to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home (homemaker), to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God.
3. She nurtures the next generation!
4. She expects God’s greater reward!

Fact: Nobody can ruin your life ultimately except you.
