Rite of Passage.. 1. Conception to birth 2. Childhood to adulthood 3. Single to married 4. Life to death 5. Lost to saved 1 Co 13:11When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. 1) We are responsible & accountable for our Actions. Deut 31:11 when all Israel comes to appear before the Lord your God at the place he will choose, you shall read this law before them in their hearing. Assemble the people – men, women, and children, and the aliens living in your towns – so they can listen and learn to fear the Lord your God and follow carefully all the words of this law. A) A Charge to each of us! Eccl 12:1 Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come and the years approach when you will say, “I find on pleasure in them.” B) A Cycle Israel repeated. Ps 106:21a They forgot the God who saved them. 1. The cried to God in their Need! Ps 106:4-6 2. God Delivered them through his mighty works! Ps 106:8-10 3. They experienced Stability and Security! Ps 106:12 4. They became Accustomed to his blessings! 5. They Forgot the God who saved them! Ps 106:21a, Ps 106:43, Ps 106:47 1Ki 2:1 When the time drew near for David to die, he gave a charge to Solomon his son. “I am about to go the way of all the earth,” he said. “So be strong, show yourself a man, and observe what the Lord your God requires; Walk in his ways, and keep his decrees and commands, his laws and requirements, as written in the Law of Moses, so that you may prosper in all you do and wherever you go. Parting words … Eccl 12:1 Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth… Eccl 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter; Fear God, and keep his commandments; for this is the whole duty of man. V14 for God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
